Since Workflow became Shortcuts, I’ve started using many more Shortcuts that use Siri to their advantage, and also some new Shortcuts to add to my collection.
I’ve already written a post about the Workflows I used every day, and you can find that post here. The Workflows still work in Shortcuts, and I still use them daily.
iOS 12 was just released last week, and whilst the update came with a huge amount of changes, mostly to the performance of the OS, it also came with a few notable new features that make iOS much more useful every day. These features also give you better insight, and control your device more.
I have added the ability for companies to sponsor this site. After thinking about various methods of monetization, I thought that sponsorship would be the best way to go. They are the least intrusive type of advertising, and I would rather have adverts that relate to content than Google Adsense.

In addition to this, I have reduced the amount of posts on the front page to 8, to increase page loading times. However, the recent posts on the sidebar has been increased to 10, and posts can still be viewed by changing pages and searching.
I recently started using Due in conjunction with my task manager of choice, Things 3. The thing that Due gives me that Things does not is the persistent reminders that it gives me. This means that if I set a task, it constantly reminds me to complete the task until I mark it as done, and this is incredibly effective if you want to remember to do something, and get reminded until you do it.
Due has a lot more to it than persistent reminders however, including timers, snoozing from notifications, and a lot more.
Portable batteries are a common item found in people’s bag, and for good reason. Often it’s a pain to find out your phone has run out of battery when you are on the move, however there are many different batteries you can purchase, each boasting different capacities and features.
Often power banks are expensive, however the Omars 10,000 mAh is an incredibly inexpensive option but is great quality. If you are looking for a low price and high capacity power bank, you won’t go wrong with this one.
Gaming on your phone is becoming more and more advanced, with games such as PUBG coming to mobile. I play the majority of games on my phone, however a phone isn’t the most comfortable thing to cling to for hours on end. That’s where the MobileGrip comes in. You can easily attach the MobileGrip to your phone in order to make it a lot more comfortable to play with.

Just a quick post about a few things on the site and around it.
Firstly, I fixed the issue where comments were not showing up on posts after 28 days. For some reason this box got ticked when I updated WordPress, however no it is no longer and comments show up again.
Secondly, Apple has ended it’s Affiliate Program for the App Store. This meant that when an app was purchased through a post, I would receive a small cut of 7%. This greatly helped in reducing the costs for the site, however Apple has now shut this down, meaning that this money will no longer be received. If you would like to, please feel free to donate any amount to aid in running the site. You can read more information on that here. I want to optimise and work more on the website theme especially, as there is a lot that can be improved (such as loading time).
I have also made the RSS feed full text. Originally, it was only a summary meaning that you had to open the feed in the browser. This means that I get more accurate statistics regarding readers that come in handy when working with companies, however I thought that the hassle for the reader was too much, so now you can easily read the full post in your RSS feed. My home screen has had a few minor adjustments since my last post about it a year ago, including app changes and a new plain background. I’m currently on the iOS 12 beta, which is why I have a slightly different status bar, which includes the date which is a great tweak in iOS 12.
I’ve been using this case since I got the iPhone X before the start of the year, and it has held up very well over the seven months of hard daily use since I’ve had it. I’ve dropped the phone multiple times since I got it, and the case has done a great job of protecting the phone and preventing the front or back glass from getting damaged, whilst still maintaining the sleek look of the caseless phone.
