Portable batteries are a common item found in people’s bag, and for good reason. Often it’s a pain to find out your phone has run out of battery when you are on the move, however there are many different batteries you can purchase, each boasting different capacities and features.
Often power banks are expensive, however the Omars 10,000 mAh is an incredibly inexpensive option but is great quality. If you are looking for a low price and high capacity power bank, you won’t go wrong with this one.
I’ve been using this battery as my daily driver. I always keep a higher capacity 20,000 mAh power bank in my bag, but it’s too big to fit in my pocket and carry around with me. The Omars portable battery is exactly the same size as my iPhone X, and just a little thicker. This means when I want to charge my phone when I don’t have a bag on me, it’s easy to hold the phone and the charger at the same time due to its similar size.
The battery itself is made out of a strong plastic with a rubberized coating applied to the top of it. This means it won’t slip and its easy to hold onto. It has a clear plastic band which has a little screen that shows you the charge status of the battery.
The battery features three charging ports. The USB A, output only Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled port can be used to charge devices quickly. The port has an output of 18W, and I could charge my iPhone from 0% to 50% in just under 30 minutes. There is then a type C charging port, which is both an output and input port. This means that you can charge your device from this port, which is also 18W, or charge the battery itself from this port using the included cable. It takes around 3.5 hours to charge the battery from 0% to 100%, which is handy if you are travelling a lot. Finally, the battery features a micro USB port that it can be charged with too, however note that using micro USB to charge the battery will increase the time taken to fully charge it.
If you are looking for a high capacity, however small battery, the Omars 10,000 mAh is a great battery to go for. Costing £16.99, the Omars battery is a great choice for an affordable yet well built battery.
