Ainope 10,000 mAh Power Bank Review

Often portable batteries are large in size – it’s cheaper, and easier, to fit a battery into a larger container. However, with the Ainope 10,000 mAh battery, you’ll get a small and compact battery with enough capacity to charge your phone around three times fully.

With USB C and micro USB input, and dual USB output, the Ainope 10,000 mAh has plenty of power to quickly charge your devices up.

Firstly, the exact proportions of the battery are 3.74 x 2.46 x 0.93. Therefore, despite being quite compact height and length wise, it is pretty thick – something to take into consideration. In addition, it is somewhat heavy – around 200 grams, a little more than a phone such as the iPhone X.

This being said, the battery does pack a lot of punch for its size. It has two input ports, and two output ports. You can charge it either by USB C, which inputs at 5V/2A, and a micro USB input port. Then, the two output ports are both standard USB. One charges at 5V/2.1A, which is great if you need to charge one device quickly, and the other charges at 5V/1A.

Whilst it is great that the Ainope battery offers two USB output ports, it is a bit of a disappointment that it offers no USB C output port. Something to keep in mind if you want USB C output. You can charge the battery with the included USB C cable, into the USB C port on the battery, but this is only for input, and not for output.

The battery is made out of textured plastic – it’s quite easy to hold. It also has a plastic border, and the power button has a little bit of wobble, which makes it feel somewhat cheap. This being said, overall the battery feels solid, and it survived well in my bag for the past few weeks.

One of my favourite things about the battery is the LCD display, that shows the amount of charge it contains. Often, batteries have little dots to show how juiced up they are – the Ainope instead shows a display, with a percentage charged indicator. This makes it a lot easier to see when you need to charge it.

The Ainope 10,000 mAh battery is a good choice if you want a very compact, yet large capacity battery. Plus, it’s also pretty low priced – only $19.99 (at time of writing) on Amazon.
